Appleby Increases Tier One Firm and Hall of Fame Rankings in The Legal 500 UK 2027 Guide

Appleby is pleased to be recognised in the 2027 edition of The Legal 500 UK with a total of 25 firm and 53 individual rankings across the Crown Dependencies.


Appleby remains the only law firm that has a presence across all three Crown Dependencies, offering legal expertise in Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey and is proud to have secured Top Tier rankings in 14 practice areas.

Jersey achieved a new Tier One ranking for Real Estate, standing out for “its combination of technical expertise and practical, commercial focus”, joining Jersey’s Tier One Employment practice. Appleby continues to hold Tier One status across all nine categories in the Isle of Man (Banking, Finance and Capital Markets; Corporate and Commercial; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Gambling; Insurance and Pensions; Private Client, Trusts and Tax; Real Estate; and Shipping and Aviation), alongside three in Guernsey (Banking and Finance; Employment; and Regulatory and White-Collar Crime).

Ten partners achieved 11 Hall of Fame rankings, including two new additions in this year’s guide: Tom Brook in Banking, Finance & Capital Markets for the Isle of Man and Richard Sheldon in Employment for Guernsey. Isle of Man Partners Mark Holligon, Garry Manley, Juan Thornley and Charles Davies and Jersey partners John Bisson, Tim Morgan, Fraser Robertson and Andrew Weaver each retained their Hall of Fame status for 2027.
