Appleby is proud to continue in its role as a platinum sponsor for the INSOL International Channel Islands Seminar taking place at St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey on Thursday 17 September.
The annual event brings together lawyers and accountants who specialise in insolvency and restructuring, with an extensive programme of presentations and panel sessions covering a broad spectrum of topics including private credit and provisional liquidation.
Appleby Jersey Senior Associate Lara Von Wildenrath will be joining the panel to discuss “Trust Structures under Scrutiny: Limits, Leverage and Creditors”. The session will examine how those authorities interact with offshore trust arrangements, exploring when such structures are upheld, when they are challenged, and how issues of solvency, priority and the payment of creditors are addressed in practice.
