Appleby is proud to be a Silver Partner of the 8th Informa Connect: Asset Recovery International Conference, taking place at The InterContinental Dublin, Ireland on 25 – 27 February 2026.

The conference focuses on Fraud Litigation, Enforcement and Contentious Insolvency and is the premium Asset Recovery event. With a presence of over 300 industry experts from over 30 different jurisdictions, attendees will get a better understanding of how different areas are tackling similar problems in the asset recovery world.
Appleby Cayman Islands Partner, Alan Bercow will be taking part in a panel discussion: ‘Can you be just a little bit dishonest? Shades of grey in fraud litigation’, on 26 February at 12.20 GMT. The session will discuss the question ‘Is the law on dishonesty truly black and white?’ or whether there are in fact shades of grey. Find out more about the session here.
Alan Bercow is an English solicitor, a Cayman Islands attorney, and a dispute resolution partner who joined Appleby in the Cayman Islands in 2023 from Stephenson Harwood in London, where he was co‑head of the Fraud and Asset Recovery Team. He specialises in high‑value, complex fraud and asset‑tracing claims, often involving freezing orders, disclosure orders, anti‑suit injunctions, and gagging orders.
Also attending the conference will be representatives from our Dispute Resolution teams across a number of jurisdictions – Appleby Isle of Man’s Managing Partner Mark Holligon and Partner Claire Corkish; Appleby Jersey’s Partner Niall MacDonald and Senior Associate Michael Gradidge and Appleby BVI’s Group Partner Olywn Barry.
