Legal vacancies and business services roles at Appleby

Whether you are looking to join our legal or business services teams, we are interested in people with the drive and ability to flourish in a highly professional and friendly environment.

Offshore financial centres play an integral role in international finance and trade and are more often than not at the heart of global cross-border transactions. Appleby’s presence in the world’s leading offshore locations of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, Mauritius and the Seychelles, as well as offices in the key financial centres of Hong Kong and Shanghai means that we operate in some of the most highly regulated jurisdictions in the world. This creates opportunities for our lawyers to be involved in high profile, complex and sophisticated transactions and disputes.

With offices around the world, the need for exceptional business support staff is also critical. Business support functions such as compliance, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing and training have teams in most of the Appleby offices, supporting the legal teams as well as taking responsibility for global practice groups in some areas.

Appleby’s strength and success depends on our commitment to recruit and develop the best people. We actively seek talented professionals who are respected and valued in the market.

Student and trainee opportunities for a career in law

Appleby has established training programmes in most of our offices. We have put together a structured training programme which offers students access to some of the best legal minds in the offshore world. Whilst the programmes may vary depending on what jurisdiction you are in, the goal is the same: to provide the best training possible for careers in law and to enable Appleby professionals to deliver the first class service and technical expertise that our clients expect.

our global Corporate Social ResponsibiLITY Programme

For Appleby, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is more than a channel for promoting our brand. It’s about engaging our colleagues and building strong relationships with local community groups in order to contribute to and support the communities in which we operate.

At the heart of our corporate responsibility strategy is a series of programmes that support education, sports development, the arts, disadvantaged groups and the environment.

It offers respect and a holistic approach which aims to personalise care for the individual, allowing them to make the most of what time is left, and ultimately to help each person live life to the full. Everyone cared for at Hospice is supported to die pain free, with dignity and in a place of their choosing.
