Appleby lawyers have authored the chapters for Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Isle of Man and Mauritius as part of the 2024 update to Mondaq’s Comparative Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).


The chapters provide an overview of key points of M&A law and practice in each of the jurisdictions, looking specifically at topics such as deal structure, due diligence requirements, regulatory frameworks, treatment of seller liability, deal process, hostile bids and other trends across the M&A landscape.

Authors of the individual chapters were Partner Matthew Ebbs-Brewer and Senior Associate Katie Blundy for Bermuda, Partners Dean Bennett and Jacob MacAdam for the Cayman Islands, Partner Garry Manley and Senior Associate Darryl Jago for the Isle of Man, and Partner Sharmilla Bhima for Mauritius.
