The three-day leading trusts conference attracts over 70 speakers and more than 200 delegates from around the globe each year. Counsel Caljonah Smith is a speaker at the event and on 6 July will participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Selecting the Right Jurisdiction to Organise a Trust Structure: A Comparative Analysis Between Three Jurisdictions’.

Caljonah is part of Appleby’s Private Client & Trusts team in Bermuda. Her key areas of practice and experience include advising on all areas of non-contentious trust matters ranging from advising individual trustees, licensed and private trust companies of discretionary trusts, in addition to purpose trusts and unit trusts. She also advises on all non-contentious estate matters, including making applications for probate and reseal applications to the Supreme Court of Bermuda, and the drafting and review of estate planning documents such as trusts, wills, enduring powers of attorney and health care directives for local and international clients. Caljonah is listed as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in the Chambers Global High Net Worth Guide 2022 and by Legal 500 Caribbean as a ‘Rising Star’ in the Trusts/Private Client category. She is also recognised as ‘Global Elite’ by the Private Client Global Elite Directory 2023.
