Akira holds an LPC and LLM from The University of Law, and an LLB from Middlesex University. She interned with the firm from 2015 to 2018 and also worked as a Paralegal in 2016. Prior to joining Appleby, she worked at the Bermuda Monetary Authority as an Analyst.

Akira began her pupillage with Appleby in September 2024. In her first-year of the programme she completed three seats, rotating from the Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Insurance departments, where she was mentored by Jordan Knight (Counsel), Jerome Wilson (Partner) and Max Tetlow (Partner) respectively.

Akira is currently in her second year of Appleby’s legal trainee programme. She recently began her final seat, which is 12-months, in the Corporate department under the mentorship of Richard Collis (Partner).

“This moment is not just a personal milestone for me, but a tribute to the support, sacrifice, and belief of those who walked beside me. I am excited and look forward to serving my community with heart and integrity,” shared Akira.

We are thrilled to congratulate her on her call to the Bar and look forward to seeing Akira develop her legal skillset further whilst further broadening her professional profile.”
