Hailee Forde is a Senior Associate in the Corporate department of Appleby’s Bermuda office. She provides strategic advice to both international and local clients on a broad range of high-value corporate and commercial matters. She specializes in complex corporate finance, multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, and intricate group restructurings, often involving sophisticated cross-border elements.
Hailee is also actively involved in advising on Bermuda’s evolving regulatory landscape, including compliance with beneficial ownership and economic substance requirements.
Prior to her tenure at Appleby, Hailee practiced at leading New Zealand firms, where she developed deep expertise in property and development finance, acquisition finance, and corporate governance. She is an admitted Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand and a Barrister and Attorney in Bermuda, committed to delivering commercially-focused legal solutions.

- TRANSOCEAN LTD. – Appleby advises Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) in connection with its acquisition of Valaris Limited (NYSE: VAL);
- TRIANGLE LIFE – Appleby acted as Bermuda counsel to Triangle Life;
- MAIDEN HOLDINGS, Appleby Bermuda advised Maiden Holdings on its combination with Kestrel Group;
- Appleby Bermuda advised in connection with the $13.3 billion take-private acquisition of Bermuda-based Triton International Limited (Triton) by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P (BIP) through BIP’s subsidiary Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation (BIPC) and its institutional partners (Brookfield Infrastructure);
- Appleby acted as special Bermuda counsel to the noteholders in connection with the acquisition by Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure of a 49.9% minority interest in Bermuda Skyport Corporation Limited from Aecon Group Inc. (Aecon), the concessionaire for the L.F. Wade International Airport;
- PRISMIC LIFE REINSURANCE LTD. – Appleby advised Prudential Financial, Inc. and Warburg Pincus LLC, in the launch of Prismic Life Reinsurance, Ltd., a licensed Class E Bermuda-based life and annuity reinsurance company.
