The Appleby interns are Ashley Attride-Stirling, Thomas Evans, Kyla Lowe, Owen Neal, Seon Tatem and Juron Tucker. The AGS interns are Zuri Harrison and Yasmine Tull.

The returning Appleby interns are Max Blakeney, Jasmin Brown and Louis Hammond who will be participating in a special project within the Corporate and Insurance teams.

Appleby’s summer internship programme for students interested in a career in law, which was redesigned last year, includes departmental rotation every 2 weeks with an assigned lawyer as mentor, and the inclusion of case studies, assignments and presentations. The programme has been designed to foster a collaborative learning experience, with interns rotating in pairs, providing an enriching opportunity to learn from both their mentors and peers. The departments include Corporate, Insurance and Dispute Resolution. Interns will also be involved in a unique mock trial project once again.

The AGS summer internship programme includes a dedicated mentor with exposure to different departments, providing an opportunity for students to learn various aspects of the business, including corporate administration and onboarding. They will also gain a deeper understanding of the role of corporate secretaries, who play a central part in promoting good governance, maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting the smooth and effective operation of companies.

Brad Adderley, Appleby Managing Partner, commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome our summer students to our newly enhanced internship programme, and to see some familiar faces returning. For years, Appleby has helped nurture many of Bermuda’s talented lawyers, and now the programme is even more dynamic, rigorous, and engaging than ever – complete with a special mock trial introduced last year to put skills to the test. Thanks to our skilled lawyers serving as mentors, students can look forward to an unforgettable summer of growth.”

Patrick Lee Mo Lin, AGS Associate Director, Operations, added: “I am very pleased to welcome our summer students at Appleby Global Services this year. Providing opportunities for young professionals to gain hands-on experience in Bermuda’s corporate services sector is something we consider both a privilege and a responsibility. Our hope is that this experience will give our summer students a fresh perspective on how critical each role is, not only to our clients but to Bermuda’s standing as a respected international business centre. We look forward to their contributions over the summer and are confident that the skills and insights they acquire with us will serve them well wherever their careers may lead.”

Appleby is also pleased to host a Summer Law Student Event on 9 July, students can click to register to attend: https://bit.ly/3RMgnRE.
