Cameron Adderley is a partner in the Corporate and Commercial department and the Group Team Leader of the Corporate Finance team. He has a broad based corporate and commercial practice which includes securities, mergers and acquisitions, financing and capital markets transactions.
Cameron has extensive experience advising on joint ventures using Bermuda special purpose vehicles including the structure, governance and financing arrangements for such entities and transactions.
Cameron has particular experience of the telecommunications sector having worked on a number of international telecommunications projects (sub-sea fibre optic cable) including the structuring of joint ventures, financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Cameron first joined Appleby as an associate in 1997. After working in-house as senior attorney for Global Crossing, he returned to Appleby in August 1998 and became a partner in April 2001.
IFLR100 2009 named Cameron as a ‘Leading Lawyer’ in the Financial and Corporate category. Global Chambers and Partners described Cameron as being “co-operative, thorough and always wants to get the deal done’ ” and has ranked Cameron as a ‘Leading Individual’ for Corporate/Commercial. Chambers Global 2012 described Cameron as "meticulous, detailed and responsive - a safe pair of hands”.
Cameron graduated from the University of Bristol with an LLB (Hons) degree in 1989 and attended the College of Law, Guildford. He undertook his training with the London firm of Solicitors, Simmons & Simmons, practicing as a solicitor in their London office from qualification until 1995, where he was seconded to the Financial Law Panel.
Cameron was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 1992 (now non-practicing). He was admitted as a Barrister and Attorney in Bermuda in 1993.
Cameron is a member of the Business Bermuda Legislative Change Committee, the voluntary committee that considers legislative reform.
