Mu Dai is a Counsel in the Corporate department of Appleby’s Shenzhen office, and a Legal Manager of Appleby’s Hong Kong office.
Mu advises technology, digital asset and Web3 clients, with a focus on corporate structuring, strategic commercial arrangements, token and investment-related structures, cross-border investments and regulatory matters.
Mu also has extensive experience advising on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and strategic investments in traditional industries. He advises multinational corporations, financial investors, private equity sponsors and technology companies on complex transactions across Asia and other international markets.
Prior to joining Appleby, Mu was General Counsel of one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency mining hardware groups. He previously practised at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Hong Kong and King & Wood Mallesons in Beijing, focusing on private equity, venture capital, M&A and cross-border transactions. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.
