Bio

Guy Cabral is an Associate in Appleby’s Dispute Resolution practice in Bermuda. Guy is focused on trust disputes, merger disputes, insolvency and restructuring, and residential property disputes.

Guy holds a Master of Science in Taxation Law from the University of Oxford, for which he received the Field Court Tax Chambers prize for the best overall performance in his cohort. He further holds a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law from University College London and a Bachelor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining Appleby, Guy worked as a Research Assistant at the Law Commission of England and Wales and a freelance academic. He also interned with Appleby during the year 2016-17 prior to starting at university. In his spare time, he writes on constitutional law and the law in relation to cryptocurrencies.

Guy began his pupillage with Appleby in September 2025. In his first-year he completed three seats, rotating between the Insurance, Corporate, and Dispute Resolution departments, where he was mentored by Sangheetaa Phary (Counsel) and Brad Adderley (Partner), Lalita Vaswani (Partner), and John Wasty (Partner) respectively. Guy is currently in his second year of Appleby’s legal trainee programme. As of 2nd September 2026, he began his final, 12-month, seat in the Dispute Resolution department under the continued mentorship of John Wasty.
