Bio

Yiying is a Senior Associate in Appleby’s Shanghai office and a member of the Dispute Resolution team.

Yiying has more than six years of post-qualification experience advising clients on complex commercial disputes, construction disputes, shareholder litigation and regulatory investigations. She has acted for multinational corporations, public sector bodies, property developers and private clients in contentious matters across multiple jurisdictions, with particular experience in shareholder and investment disputes, cross-border contractual claims, construction and infrastructure disputes, regulatory enforcement matters and administrative review proceedings. Her practice spans all stages of the dispute resolution process, from strategic risk management and pre-action negotiations through to mediation, court proceedings and enforcement.

Prior to joining Appleby, Yiying worked and practised at leading firms in Australia, where she acted for public and private sector clients in significant commercial disputes and regulatory matters. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

 

Qualifications & Education

Yiying was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. She is the member of the Queensland Law Society.
