Nicholas is a partner based in the firm's Hong Kong office with extensive experience advising on a broad range of corporate and finance transactions.
Nick’s finance practice is focussed primarily on debt and equity capital markets, structured finance and derivatives, fund finance, Islamic finance, and acquisition and leveraged finance. Nick’s corporate practice comprises all aspects of private equity and other private fund work, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements and corporate governance matters. He also provides regulatory advice, particularly in relation to international sanctions, and is a frequent speaker and author on doing business in growth markets.
Prior to relocating to Hong Kong in 2017, Nick practised in our Cayman Islands office, as a partner in another offshore firm in Jersey, and as an English-qualified lawyer with Linklaters, Allen & Overy and Freshfields. Nick spent a number of years advising on Russia and CIS transactional matters from Moscow, and continues to work with clients from that region from Hong Kong.
