Simon Raftopoulos has been appointed as Local Corporate Practice Group Head, responsible for the development of this market leading practice.

Andrew Weaver, who will be Local Corporate Practice Group Head of the Jersey Office as of 31 March, will take responsibility for the firm’s global funds strategy.

Group Managing Partner at Appleby, Malcolm Moller commented: “Bryan has been with our Cayman office for almost 23 years. He has a strong family history with the firm, whose roots date back to when Bryan’s grandfather was appointed as a law agent in the 1940s, who then formally started the firm (as Hunter & Hunter) alongside Bryan’s father in 1965. The vast wealth of knowledge Bryan holds alongside his strong connection to the firm will be greatly missed by all of us at Appleby. Norman and Simon are a great team and I am very much looking forward to working with them to embrace all of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, both locally and globally for Appleby.”
