Bio

Victoria King is an associate in our Hong Kong Dispute Resolution department. She is an Appleby legal scholarship recipient and joined the firm in late 2013 under its articled clerk programme following completion of her legal studies in Manchester, England. In January-April 2015, Victoria had the privilege of completing a 12-week secondment with Maitland Chambers as part of the highly esteemed Cayman Trainee Placement Scheme, which allows Caymanian articled clerks placement with leading Chancery Chambers in England and Wales.

Victoria was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in June 2015. Her practice is focused on corporate dispute resolution, banking litigation, professional negligence claims and insolvency litigation.

She is a member of the Caymanian Bar Association and the Cayman Islands Law Society.

Recent cases include:

  • Acting for the majority shareholders of a Cayman company in a shareholders dispute which led to a rare 6-week trial in the Grand Court, Financial Services Division.
  • Acting for the liquidation committee in the high-profile liquidation of an international banking business, Caledonian Bank Limited (In Official Liquidation).
