Appleby is inviting applications for the firm’s Isle of Man Advocate Training Programme, from individuals interested in becoming a Manx Advocate.

Each year Appleby Isle of Man welcomes a new intake of trainees through the programme. The firm presently has vacancies for its autumn 2023 and 2024 intake.

The programme exposes trainees to a variety of practice areas, helping them identify the areas they may wish to specialise in. The firm also assigns a mentor to support the trainees as they undertake their training.

The programme is open to those wishing to pursue a career in Law, who have achieved (or are on target to achieve) a 2:1 degree in Law or a non-law related subject followed by the Graduate Diploma in Law.

Appleby is the Isle of Man’s leading law firm and is ranked Tier 1 in eight different practice areas in The Legal 500 2023 UK Guide.

Mark Holligon, Managing Partner at Appleby Isle of Man, said: “We are keen to attract talented aspiring lawyers to our programme. Since launching the programme, we have seen many of our trainees grow into successful Manx Advocates, with a number progressing all the way to partner. For our future intakes we are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic individuals who are keen to pursue a career in law at a leading offshore law firm.”
