Appleby congratulates Shanne Gutierrez on being called to the Manx Bar
Appleby is pleased to announce that trainee Shanne Gutierrez has been called to the Manx Bar. Shanne was officially sworn in as an Isle of Man Advocate by the Island’s First Deemster, His Honour Deemster Corlett on Wednesday 21 October 2026.
Shanne graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first-class law degree. She first joined Appleby on a summer placement in 2021 before joining the firm’s Trainee Programme in 2024. During her two-year training period, Shanne completed her Articles and Manx Bar examinations, successfully passing the Manx Bar exam in 2026.
Shanne will now join Appleby’s leading Dispute Resolution team as an Associate.
Shanne commented: “I am excited to commence my legal career with Appleby’s Dispute Resolution department. Thank you to all my colleagues at Appleby who have made my training contract so successful and from whom I have learned so much.”
