Appleby is delighted to announce that Greg Chambers, Counsel in the law firm’s Dispute Resolution team, has been formally called to the Manx Bar.

Greg was sworn in as an Isle of Man Advocate by the Island’s First Deemster, His Honour Deemster Corlett, at a formal ceremony on Wednesday 14 October 2026.
Greg joined Appleby’s Dispute Resolution team in 2023 after qualifying as a Solicitor in England and Wales and practising at DWF, an international law firm. He has experience advising on a range of complex corporate and commercial disputes, but has a particular focus on those arising from breaches of commercial agreements, shareholder and director disputes and in the insolvency context.
In the latest edition of Legal 500 UK 2027, Greg was recognised as a Leading Associate within the Dispute Resolution practice for the second consecutive year.
Greg commented: “I am delighted to have been commissioned as an Isle of Man Advocate and am grateful to Mark and the wider Appley team for all of their support throughout the process.”
Mark Holligon, Managing Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution team, as well as Greg’s mentor, said: “We are proud to congratulate Greg on being called to the Manx Bar. This is a significant milestone in his career and recognition of his dedication, expertise and hard work. Greg has made a valuable contribution to our Dispute Resolution team since joining the firm, and we look forward to seeing him continue to build his practice as an Isle of Man Advocate.”
