Appleby is the only Isle of Man law firm to be recognised by the leading industry directory in the fintech sector.

Appleby Partner Claire Milne was individually recognised as a Band 1 lawyer in the guide, whilst Counsel Katherine Garrood was also featured as an Associate to watch.

Claire Milne, said: “Fintech is a thriving sector in the Isle of Man and we’re delighted to be recognised as the island’s leading law firm within this industry, in the latest Chambers rankings. Appleby has a first-class technology and innovation team, both globally and locally. This set of rankings highlight the quality and experience within this team. We are extremely grateful to our clients for their continued support, instructions and feedback.”

A leading directory for the legal industry, Chambers ranks law firms and their lawyers across 200 jurisdictions worldwide based on independent research and analysis, including client feedback.

The Isle of Man team is noted for handling a ‘significant caseload of cross-border payment law and regulatory work for the island’s e-gaming sector’ in client feedback.

In addition to the Isle of Man office, Appleby’s British Virgin Islands, Guernsey, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Jersey offices also achieved Band 1 and Band 2 rankings in the 2023 guide, with six lawyers ranked in total.
