The IoD Bermuda Branch delivers the IoD professional development programme, informal training featuring subject experts and networking to its 150 resident members. His practice includes the following sectors: technology and innovation – including Fintech, Insurtech, IT contracts of all types ( SaaS, cloud and other ), privacy and data protection, infrastructure and project management, eGaming, and corporate governance, especially in IYT and cyber security. Prior to joining Appleby in April 2022, Duncan was one of Canada’s leading commercial lawyers. He holds numerous recognitions, awards and legal rankings over the years, including Chambers Global for IT and Chambers Canada as an ‘Expert Based Abroad’ (Bermuda) for IT. He is the author of one of the leading books on information technology transaction best practices, published in 2021 by Thomson Reuters International.
