Appleby Bermuda Partner and Head of Private Client & Trusts Claire van Overdijk KC will speak at the STEP Caribbean conference which takes place 11 – 13 May in Saint Lucia.

Claire will speak on the 11 May ‘Protecting vulnerable clients and fiduciary risk’ panel which explores capacity, undue influence and safeguarding obligations aligned with modern fiduciary risk management.

She has extensive experience with global businesses, financial institutions, public bodies, trustees, beneficiaries, settlors, protectors, private individuals and families. Claire’s dispute resolution practice extends to advocacy, strategic expertise and tactical advice in domestic and multi-jurisdictional high-value litigation and the resolution of complex disputes in the fields of trusts, estates, commercial and civil law. Claire is also a recognised expert on the field of mental capacity having published extensively on the topic.
