Andrew is a Senior Associate* in the Dispute Resolution department in Guernsey.
Andrew was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales in 2012, having trained and qualified at a regional firm in his native Swansea, South Wales. Prior to joining Appleby, Andrew’s experience was predominantly in insolvency-based litigation, in respect of which he was named as a “leading individual” for the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery in Wales category in the 2018 edition of the Legal 500 UK. Andrew was described in the same edition of the UK industry bible as having a “clear grasp of the law in this area” and commended for providing “clear and practical advice”.
Whilst in the UK, Andrew acted for a portfolio of clients including insolvency practitioners, receivers and high street lenders, dealing with a range of insolvency litigation, non-contentious corporate restructuring and general commercial litigation.
Acting for a variety of clients across Appleby’s client base, including trust companies, insolvency practitioners, high street lenders and high net worth individuals, Andrew undertakes a broad range of work within Appleby’s busy Dispute Resolution department spanning contentious trusts, commercial litigation, insolvency, regulatory and employment.
Since joining Appleby in January 2019, Andrew has assisted on complex, high value disputes up to and including Court of Appeal level, as well as cross-border corporate restructurings.
