8TEN Racing, the official BMW Motorrad UK team, is named after the Isle of Man TT start numbers of riders and team co-owners, Peter Hickman and Davey Todd.

The Isle of Man TT races, which first took place in 1907, are one of the biggest annual events on the Isle of Man, attracting thousands of visitors from around the world each year. Hickman and Todd are two of the most high-profile riders in the modern era, with Hickman having won 14 races and holding the outright lap record and Todd having taken his first two victories in 2024, including the blue riband Senior TT.

Garry Manley, Partner and Head of Appleby’s Isle of Man corporate team, said: “We’re really excited to announce our partnership with 8TEN Racing on the day that the first major international road race of the year, the North West 200, is being held in Northern Ireland. Pete and Davey are two of the best road racers in the world, and we can’t wait to see how they perform at this year’s TT on board their BMW Motorrad machines.”

Peter Hickman said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Appleby.  Their core values of professionalism and excellence are closely aligned with our vision for 8TEN Racing.  We’re really excited for the new season to be underway.  We know the bike very well and we’ll be looking to continue our success on the roads, including at the Isle of Man TT.”
