Laura is a valued member of the firm, having quickly progressed from Paralegal to Associate; and her new role reflects her outstanding work.

She first joined the Jersey office in 2021 as a Paralegal within the Property department, before transferring to the Dispute Resolution department where she subsequently qualified as an English Solicitor in late 2023.

Her practice encompasses a broad range of disputes, including commercial and corporate matters; employment, immigration and regulatory matters; enforcement of securities and debt recovery; contentious trusts; and insolvency. Laura also acts in personal injury and clinical negligence matters, acting primarily on behalf of union and insurer clients.

Before joining Appleby, Laura graduated in Law from Queen’s University Belfast and attained a Distinction in the Legal Practice course.

Laura said: “It has been an honour to develop my career at Appleby, with the support and guidance of so many inspiring colleagues across our various jurisdictions. I look forward to the next stages of my career with the firm, together with all the challenges and opportunities that qualification will bring.’’

James Gaudin, Managing Partner at Appleby Jersey, said: “Training and development are integral to our Appleby culture. My colleagues and I are delighted to have seen Laura flourish from trainee to associate in a relatively short space of time and look forward to watching how she further progresses here at Appleby. She is an asset to the team and the firm as a whole.”
