Suhaylah Juman is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.
She joined Appleby in September 2021 as an Attorney-at-Law after having previously been an intern at the firm in 2017 and 2018. She holds a first class Bachelor of Laws with honor’s from University of Mauritius and successfully completed the Vocational Examinations for Attorneys at the Council for Vocational and Legal Education in September 2019.
Suhaylah gained experience during her pupillage at the Attorney General’s office and under the guidance of a Senior Attorney. She was involved in the preparation of cases in relation to a range of civil matters including succession, family law, landlord and tenant, personal injury and employment law disputes.
She has a keen interest in civil and commercial procedure and has an excellent understanding of both English common law and French civil law.
She is a member of the Mauritius Law Society and speaks fluently English and French.
