Bio
Vaishali Damonaiko is an associate in Appleby’s Mauritius office and a member of the corporate department. She joined Appleby in January 2021 after having been called to the Mauritian Bar in January 2021.
Vaishali did her Bar Professional Training Course at the University of the West of England. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in July 2019.
She speaks French and English.
EXPERTISE
Recent cases include:
- Advised and assisted in a structured finance deal of US$450 million 6.25 % senior secured notes due 2025 issued by Mauritius-based Cliffton Limited and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. These will be used principally to subscribe to Indian Rupee non-convertible debentures that would be issued by Delhi International Airport Limited, the first airport in India to be awarded the Leadership Energy and Environment Design ‘Gold’ rating.
- Assisted in a bonds issue transaction where Appleby advised IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, an Indian highway construction company in a structured finance deal of USD 300 million 5.5 % senior secured notes due 2024 issued by Mauritius-based India Toll Roads and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
