Zahrah is a legal executive within the corporate department in Mauritius.
Prior to joining Appleby in January 2019, Zahrah worked for two years at BLC Robert and Associates, a well-known law firm in Mauritius where she gained experience in the area of dispute resolution, having assisted in a variety of civil and commercial litigation matters including drafting of Court pleadings and affidavits, injunctions, statutory demands (and setting aside thereof), winding up petitions as well as a number of Court applications under the Insolvency Act.
Zahrah now assists the Mauritian team mainly on corporate and commercial matters, ranging from providing legal advice/opinion to clients and carrying out legal due diligence on companies in Mauritius to the review and/or drafting of legal documentation including share transfers and corporate agreements.
Zahrah is fluent in English and French.

She graduated from the University of Mauritius with a BA (Hons) Law and Management and pursued an LLM in Corporate Law.
