Garry Manley is a partner in our Isle of Man office who specialises in corporate finance, company law and regulatory matters.
Garry has extensive experience of advising on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity investments, leveraged and asset financings, international securities offerings, structured finance products, corporate restructurings and corporate governance issues. His clients include onshore law firms, major international financial institutions and listed and private companies.
He received a First Class law degree from Oxford University, where he was awarded the Quadrant Chambers Prize for the best performance in International Trade and the Book Prize for the best performance at University College. He subsequently practised as an English lawyer for almost a decade in the London, Hong Kong and New York offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. He has also worked for another leading offshore law firm advising on BVI and Cayman law matters, and before joining Appleby he worked for another Isle of Man corporate law firm.
Garry is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and an Isle of Man advocate, and he sits on the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce’s Finance and Professional Services Committee.
