Bio

Anna is Counsel with the Dispute Resolution team in Appleby’s Bermuda office. Before joining Appleby in 2025, Anna practised for almost 20 years at a leading corporate and securities litigation firm in Toronto Canada.

Anna has deep expertise representing capital markets and insurance industry participants in a wide range of regulatory matters, including licensing issues, investigations and enforcement proceedings. She also has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitrations. This experience has involved corporate disputes and remedies, business torts, directors’ and officers’ liability claims, securities litigation matters, disputes arising out of mergers and acquisitions, schemes of arrangement, professional negligence claims, corporate investigations and insolvency matters.

Anna has acted for a range of clients, including public and private corporations, directors, officers, financial institutions, insurers, not-for-profit organizations, trustees and capital markets licensees. She also has in-house legal experience, having completed a secondment with a leading Canadian wealth management firm. She is committed to providing proactive, business-minded and strategic legal and regulatory advice.

Qualifications & Education

Anna was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor (Canada), and Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada).
