Tendai is a Senior Associate* in the Corporate Team in Guernsey.
She has a wide range of experience dealing in acting for both international and local clients in relation to complex and high value corporate and finance matters and has particular experience in the Guernsey insurance and reinsurance sector advising in relation to Insurance-linked securities (ILS), cellular structures and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Appleby in September 2025, Tendai was a Senior Associate at another leading international law firm in Guernsey.

Work Highlights
Prior experience:
- Acting for the sellers on the sale of Guernsey-based independent insurance management, fiduciary and financial advisory company Robus Group Limited to UK based broker and underwriter Ardonagh Group.
- Acting for a lender in connection with the refinancing of a senior and mezzanine loan facility for the continued development of the underlying shopping centre in a mixed scheme which includes housing, leisure facilities and retail premises.
- Advising an incorporated cell company in relation to a Shari’ah law compliant utilised ‘murabaha’ (financing) agreement, Shari’ah law compliant commodities sale and purchase agreements, netting agreements, and German and Guernsey law security interest agreements.
- Advising an asset management firm on the launch of its first Guernsey fund, whose cells support the socioeconomic advancement and empowerment of women, BIPOC communities, persons with disabilities and LGBTQ2S+ communities around the globe.
- Acting for a UK private equity firm in respect of a joint venture farming concession agreement for the biggest cattle ranching and beef processing business in Zimbabwe.
