Charles primarily advises on structured finance transactions, predominantly CLOs, project finance transactions and other secured lending deals. Charles also has experience advising on insurance and re-insurance matters, international restructurings and rationalisations, and general corporate and commercial matters.

- Acted as Security Trustee’s Cayman counsel in relation to financing for offshore drilling contractor:
- 2023 USD1.095 billion secured note issuance and US$175 million term loan and revolving credit facility
- 2025 amendment and downsize of term loan facility
- Acted as Borrower’s Cayman counsel in relation to USD102 million credit-risk insured revolving credit facility
- Acted as Portfolio Manager’s Cayman counsel in relation to establishing bankruptcy-remote orphan investment vehicle to deploy capital raised under EUR5 billion Irish Secured Note Programme.
