Appleby acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Ingenic Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 3223) (the “Company”, together with its affiliated companies, the “Group”) in connection with its HK$3.05 billion (US$401 million) global offering and listing of H shares on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) on 25 August 2026.

Operating on a fabless business model, the Group is an integrated circuit (IC) provider with a product portfolio spanning across memory, computing, and analogue ICs, which are widely adopted in automotive electronics, industrial and medical applications, as well as the AIoT and intelligent security devices. It broadened its footprint in 2020 by acquiring Silicon Valley-based Integrated Silicon Solution Inc, bringing automotive-grade memory products into its portfolio.

The listing reflects renewed investor momentum in the sector, fuelled by a recovery in chip demand and Beijing’s push for semiconductor self-sufficiency.

Appleby’s Hong Kong team was led by Vincent Chan, Partner of Appleby’s Hong Kong office.

This transaction highlights Appleby’s continued strength in advising on offshore equity capital markets matters across the Asia‑Pacific region.
