James is Counsel in the Private Client & Trusts team. James advises international high-net worth individuals and families on their wealth planning needs and assists trustees and private banks on all aspects of Cayman trusts including creation, restructuring, administration and succession planning.
He also advises on wills, probate, foundation companies and other estate planning matters.
James has experience in, and a broad knowledge of, trust law from both a private client and commercial perspective. Prior to joining the team, James worked in Investment Funds and Private Client teams at other leading law firms.

- Bachelor of Laws (Honours), University of Canterbury, New Zealand
- Bachelor of Arts, University of Canterbury, New Zealand
- Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand (not practising)
- Admitted as a licensed Attorney in the Cayman Islands
