The ‘A List’ is based on extensive research conducted by CBLJ, with SINA Finance and SINA Lvdao as media partners. After over a thousand nominations, 200 elite lawyers were selected to be on the final list, reflecting their deep legal knowledge, extensive practical experience, shrewd business thinking, internationalised vision, effective team co-operation abilities, and, most importantly, spirit of professional dedication that places their clients first.

Fiona has almost 20 years of offshore and onshore experience in the Asian market. Her broad offshore law practice spans banking and finance transactions including acquisition, leveraged and project financing, shipping and aircraft financing, structured products, bond issuance and restructuring of corporates and financial institutions. In the private client practice space, Fiona specialises in advising on Bermuda insurance and trust structures for various offshore jurisdictions. As a member of Appleby´s Global Technology & Innovation Group and Economic Substance focus group, she has been regularly invited to speak at international conferences and delivers training to various law firms and organisations on the latest developments in these areas.

Commenting on this recognition, Fiona said “It is an honour to be recognised by China Business Law Journal. Providing our clients with the best possible service is at the heart of everything we do at Appleby and I’m delighted to have that acknowledged by this prominent publication.”

Asia Group Head and Partner in Hong Kong, Judy Lee added “It is fantastic to see Fiona’s extensive expertise in the Chinese market recognised. Appleby is a well established offshore law firm in Hong Kong, and China continues to be an integral market serviced by our multi lingual team of lawyers.”
