We have teams able to assist with all phases of a business from a start-up making an initial regulatory application through to global businesses dealing with complex regulatory compliance and investigations.

In certain circumstances clients will gain the protection of legal privilege in relation to advice given on these matters which would not apply to advice from non-lawyers.

How we can help

Compliance

We can assist your compliance department with the full range of compliance services. We have experience of operating within a regulatory environment across our business and can offer assistance in relation to ongoing compliance issues as well as structuring compliance functions and preparing relevant procedures and manuals.

We are also vastly experienced in relation to AML/KYC/CDD compliance issues and can assist with all aspects of the compliance function from client take on to filing SARs.

Regulatory

Our knowledge and experience of advising banks, fiduciary service providers and other regulated businesses allows us to consider all aspects of regulated services. We can assist with regulatory applications for business licences, ongoing regulatory reporting and dealing with regulatory visits/inspections.

Corporate Governance

We have extensive experience of advising on corporate governance issues and can help clients ensure they are adopting a best practice approach.

Risk Management

We are able to advise on strategies to systematically mitigate risk within the business environment.

Substance

We can provide practical advice on how to structure businesses in order to seek to ensure compliance with the EU Code of Conduct Group’s requirements for the Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories to demonstrate “substance”.

Data Protection

Our team has cutting-edge expertise in implementing data protection policies and strategies for clients and regularly advises on pan-jurisdiction data protection matters, including the interaction between local legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We work frequently with local government, regulators and industry bodies to develop responses to the challenges of globalisation and regulation, with a focus on producing effective solutions for clients.
