Sally Peedom is Counsel and a member of the Dispute Resolution team. She has spent the last six years offshore and has particular experience in insolvency and restructuring matters, investment funds disputes, contentious trusts and insurance issues.
Sally has been recognised in Legal 500 since 2014 and was ranked as "one to watch" in Chambers Europe 2016. She is recommended for her "hard work, practical approach to problems and excellent client skills". More recently, Sally was recognised by Chambers UK 2017 as a notable practitioner who is a "tenacious" associate. Interviewee feedback describes Sally as "truly excellent" and reveals that she is a “great communicator, very practical and has a good grasp of the detail." She also co-authored the Guernsey Chapter of the Asset Tracing and Recovery Review and is an annual contributor to PLC and Lexis Library resources online.
Her professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Law with French minor from Bond University in Queensland, a Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law in Sydney and a Masters of Law and Management awarded with merit from the University of New South Wales. Sally was admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2003. She also completed her Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes with STEP in 2013 and is TEP qualified.
Sally was a member of the Guernsey International Legal Association; Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts, Guernsey (ARIES); and the Guernsey Women’s Business Development Forum; and is a member of the Chancery Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
