Advocate Christopher Hillier is a senior associate within the Dispute Resolution department in Jersey. He works with a variety of different clients and a wide practice area encompassing primarily work surrounding relationships and their breakdown including living together agreements, divorce and separation, financial applications (both between spouses and between parent and child) together with residence and contact disputes.
Chris has also appeared in contested child relocation applications and a number of discrete licensing and other civil and criminal matters.
He joined Appleby in 2000, was registered as an Ecrivan (Jersey Solicitor) in August 2009 and was called to the Jersey Bar as an Advocate of the Royal Court in August 2012. Chris brings his wide experience and expertise to all his matters seeking pragmatic, proportionate and effective solutions for his clients whenever and wherever possible.
Chris has recently been appointed as a Member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and is an accredited member of two specialist Advocates’ Panels, the Mental Health Panel and the Public Law Children Panel. He is also a Committee Member of The Law Society of Jersey, and a member of both the Jersey Family Law Association and an affiliate member of Resolution.
