Yaroslav is a paralegal in the Cayman Islands Dispute Resolution Group. He assists in fund disputes, corporate restructuring and insolvency, banking disputes and complex commercial cross-jurisdictional litigation, including cross-border fraud and asset tracing claims. As a fluent Russian speaker, he often provides assistance to the BVI and Cayman Dispute Resolution Practice Groups on matters relating to clients from Russia and CIS countries.
Prior to joining Appleby, Yaroslav worked for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in London in their market-leading Financial Institutions and Regulatory Dispute Group. Having previously worked on a number of large cross-border matters that included regulatory investigations in banking, financial services and private equity fund disputes, Yaroslav has a vast range of experience and understanding of corporate and commercial matters in an international context.
Yaroslav also undertakes Pro Bono work at the legal clinic of the Cayman Islands Family Resource Centre on a regular basis and previously volunteered to assist with Pro Bono work during his university studies.
