Bio
Jason Green is a Senior Associate within the Corporate Department of Appleby’s Bermuda office, practicing in all areas of corporate, commercial and regulatory insurance law. He re-joined the firm’s Insurance Team in January 2020 after previously commencing his legal career as a trainee at Appleby in August 2009 in each of the firm’s Banking, Private Client & Trusts and Corporate Teams and being called to the Bermuda Bar in September 2010.
Jason’s prior experience in the wealth management industry included progressively senior roles as a relationship manager at Barclays Wealth in London, Lombard Odier Trust (Bermuda), Butterfield Trust (Guernsey and Bermuda offices) and also as a manager in the Private Clients division of the Bank of Bermuda’s offices in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda before their acquisition by HSBC Private Bank in 2004. He is a Notary Public, holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), speaks conversational Spanish after living in Spain and Colombia and is a full member of the STEP Bermuda Branch.

- ARES MANAGEMENT, Acted as Bermuda counsel for Ares Management Corporation a leading global alternative investment manager, in the acquisition of F&G Reinsurance Ltd from FGL Holdings, a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, Inc and advised on formation of all Bermuda entities and obtaining regulatory approval from the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
- CHAUCER, Acted as Bermuda counsel for Chaucer, the international specialty (re)insurance group, in the formation and licensing of its Bermuda Class 4 insurer and insurance agent.
- ARGO GROUP, Advised Argo Group International Holdings, an underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products in the property and casualty market in relation to a public offering to raise $145,000,000. The issuance was jointly underwritten by Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, BoFA Securities, Inc., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, UBS Securities LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC.
