David Jin is an associate in Appleby’s Hong Kong office and a member of the Dispute Resolution Department. He joined Appleby after four and half years practicing as a insolvency and dispute resolution lawyer in Sydney, Australia where he had gained extensive experience in a wide range of matters including general and commercial litigation, M&A, corporate & securities as well as corporate and shareholders disputes.
David previously spent a year at Appleby’s Cayman Office on secondment and was admitted as an Attorney at Law of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands. While in Cayman, David was involved in many areas of commercial litigation and corporate insolvency, including corporate disputes, fund disputes, shareholders disputes, Norwich Pharmacal applications, legal costs disputes, trust and estate litigation, and corporate insolvency and restructuring. Further, David appeared before the Grand Court on several occasions as the advocate on behalf of clients.
David is fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
