Appleby celebrates win at the Asian Legal Business South East Asia awards
The leading law firm wins debt market deal of the year (premium)
Leading offshore law firm Appleby has won a prestigious award at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) South East Asia awards. The firm won Debt Market Deal of the Year (Premium) for its work with The Creditors of PT Bumi Resources (Bumi) on Bumi's USD 4.5 billion global debt restructuring.
The Appleby Mauritius, Seychelles and Hong Kong teams acted on behalf of Bumi, with Managing Partner for the Mauritius & Seychelles offices, Malcolm Moller leading on the matter, supported by Counsel, Anjana Ramburuth. The Hong Kong team advised on the Cayman aspects of the matter, led by Partner, Fiona Chan and supported by Legal Manager, Quinton Tse.
