This year the global event will be held in Miami, Florida from 24-26 March and has several hundred registered participants.

Additionally, one of the firm’s finance partners, Anna-Lise Wisdom, will be participating in a panel discussion – “A Subscription Finance Debate”.

Simon Raftopoulos, Global Head of Private Equity and Partner in the Corporate Department, will also be attending the conference and noted, “This conference is always well-subscribed, which speaks to the increased frequency and level of transactions taking place in the private equity industry markets.”

“It comes off the back of a strong year for Private Equity M&A activity in the Offshore region,” added Mr. Raftopoulos. “There were 161 offshore-incorporated companies targeted by investments financed via Private Equity and Venture Capital, the highest volume seen over the last five years. Collectively, over USD 27 billion was spent.”

Appleby is a founding member of the FFA and supports its efforts to raise the profile of the funds finance industry. Since its inception seven years ago, there has been significant growth in number of attendees, speaker participation and overall interest in the development of the funds finance market.
