Staff members in each of the firm’s offices were encouraged to participate in a fund-raising “donate and dress-down” day this month. The initiative raised USD15,400, with the Partners providing a further USD5,000 donation.

“The earthquakes and subsequent aftershocks in Nepal have devastated the lives of millions, damaging major cities and cutting off rural areas near the epicentre,” said Frances Woo, Appleby’s Group Chairman. “In the face of such disasters, time is of the essence, and I am proud to work alongside colleagues that were willing to move quickly to help raise funds for those desperately in need of our help.”

The funds raised by Appleby were donated to the Disaster Emergency Committee and the Bermuda Adara Group. Staff in The Seychelles donated money locally to the Red Cross and their affiliated church.
