Brad Adderley, a Partner in our corporate practice group in Bermuda, will be participating in the panel entitled ‘Evolution of the Bermuda ILS Market – Future Perspectives’. This session will analyse how the ILS market has evolved significantly over the last 20 years, with Bermuda well established as the leading global domicile for the facilitation of the ILS transactions. This panel provides an overview of Bermuda’s ILS market, examining its importance and looking at future growth and direction.

Brad has been a member of the Bermuda Insurance team for over 20 years, and has been involved in many of the major ILS transactions. He is consistently ranked by Chambers Global as a ‘Leader in his Field’, and top-ranked in Band 1 for Insurance. He participates regularly at conferences and seminars, and provides commentary to international and local media on the Bermuda insurance industry. Brad is a founding member of ILS Bermuda, which is comprised of the world’s most respected professional organizations in the ILS sector. The group promotes economic development through the growth of insurance-linked securities and alternative risk transfer in Bermuda.

Vanessa Schrum, a Partner and Group Head in our Private Client & Trusts practice group in Bermuda, will be participating in the panel entitled ‘Equipping International Families to Prosper in Today’s Turbulent World’. This session will demonstrate how a leading financial centre like Bermuda tackles the challenges of UHNWIs. This panel will explore ways Bermuda helps families prosper amid regulatory challenges, geopolitical risk, and attacks on traditional notions of privacy.

Vanessa has extensive experience on a wide range of trust and estate planning matters. She often writes and lectures on trust and estate planning topics, both in Bermuda and internationally. Vanessa has been awarded professional accolades throughout her career. She is consistently recognised by Chambers Global as a ‘Notable Practitioner’ and by Legal 500 Caribbean as a ‘Leading Individual’. Vanessa is also consistently listed as a Citywealth Leader in the ‘lawyer’ and power women category and named on the Citywealth IFC Power Women Top 200 list.
