Appleby was one of four other shortlisted nominees in the International Legal Team of the Year category. A panel of experts judges the nominations and consists of internationally renowned lawyers, accountants, barristers and trust companies.

In summarising the Appleby nomination, the judges considered Appleby to be a market-leading and ‘cutting-edge’ practice. Chair of the Presiding Judges, Paul Stibbard TEP, commented: ‘Appleby demonstrate the excellent technical skills one would expect of from a trust company associated with a law firm, but they also provide the strong asset management services of a bank.
