Appleby has been named Caribbean Law Firm of the Year, Caribbean Trust Company of the Year and Runner-Up Guernsey Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards 2015. The hat-trick of awards were accepted by Guernsey Office Managing Partner Gavin Ferguson at a special event held at the Grange City Hotel in London on Wednesday 21 January.

“This year marks the fourth year running that Appleby has been named Caribbean Law Firm of the Year in the Citywealth IFC Awards,” said Carlos de Serpa Pimentel, Appleby’s Private Client and Trusts Practice Group Head. “We are incredibly proud of the firm’s consistent performance.”

The Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards, now in their fourth year, were established to highlight the excellence of advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres. Winners are chosen based on their achievements, innovation, expertise and service by an international panel of highly respected practitioners, who have experience working with advisors in all the jurisdictions covered.

“Our team is dedicated to helping clients achieve the most effective solutions to fit their personal and business objectives,” said Farah Ballands, Appleby Partner and Global Group Head of Fiduciary & Administration Services. “We are honoured that the panel of judges has recognised the team’s work across jurisdictions.”

Appleby has thriving and growing private client & trust practices in some of the most well regulated and highly regarded offshore jurisdictions for the creation and administration of trust structures. As wealth planning becomes increasingly global, Appleby’s Private Client & Trusts group has developed its services to offer clients choice, flexibility and practical solutions.
