Appleby Counsel Jennifer Eve will be speaking at the 5th Annual Global Fund Forum hosted in New York from 2-3 October. The Forum offers an engaging, interactive, and entertaining experience geared towards the alternative risk transfer industry.
This year’s agenda will include two new themes focused on blockchain disruption and private equity/deal flow, in addition to the Forum’s customary hedge fund content. Supported by the BDA, the Blockchain Track will include expert panels, fireside chats, and roundtable discussions. The Private Equity/Deal Flow Track will include discussions around capital raising, sourcing deals, new technology options, in addition to several companies pitching their products to investors.
Jennifer will co-host a table talks session with the BDA titled “Bermuda: Funds & Fintech”.
Jennifer is a member of the Funds & Investment Services and the Technology & Innovation teams within Appleby’s Corporate group in Bermuda. She practises in the area of company and commercial law, specialising in advising investment managers in setting up and structuring investment vehicles including ILS funds, private equity vehicles, hybrid funds and hedge funds utilising open or closed-ended vehicles, mutual fund companies, partnerships and unit trusts. Jennifer also advises on the setting up and licensing of investment managers and advisers in Bermuda. Her practice also includes corporate finance and advising on initial coin offerings and the carrying on of digital asset business.
In addition, Jennifer was recently recognised by Legal 500 in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets and Corporate and Commercial categories.
