Hannah Tildesley, Counsel from the Dispute Resolution department, and Caljonah Smith, Senior Associate from the Private Client & Trusts department, will be speakers at the four-day event. Appleby are Gold Sponsors.
Hannah specialises in international commercial litigation, with a particular focus on contentious trust disputes, banking and funds litigation and director and shareholder disputes. She also advises on the litigation aspects of corporate deals, including governance issues, director duties and enforcement and insolvency considerations. Hannah will be speaking on the panel entitled ‘When trusts are no longer useful/fit for purpose – blessings/variation of trusts’. She was recognised by Chambers Global in 2021 and 2020 as an ‘’Up and Coming’ commercial litigator and named a ‘Rising Star’ by the Legal 500 in 2020 and 2019 and a ‘Recommended’ attorney in the Trusts/Private Client category in 2020.
Caljonah’s key areas of practice include advising on all areas of non-contentious trust matters ranging from advising individuals, corporate trustees and private trust companies on their core duties and responsibilities as trustees, in addition to the drafting, review and restructuring of trust structures (including purpose trusts and unit trusts). She will provide her insight on the ‘Jurisdiction Development: Bermuda’ panel. Caljonah is a committee member of the Bermuda branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and in 2020 was recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ by Legal 500 Caribbean in the Trusts/Private Client category.
