Appleby’s Hong Kong office addresses the needs of an expanding client base in the Asia Pacific region, particularly Asian sourced offshore companies listed on the Hong Kong, United States (Nasdaq and New York), Singapore and other internationally recognised stock exchanges.
The lawyers in our Hong Kong office provide Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman law advice on a wide range of Corporate and Commercial transactions, including the establishment of investment funds, special purpose vehicles and structured finance products, insurance companies and insurance products, securitisation, financing transactions and public and private holding companies. Lawyers operating from Appleby’s Hong Kong office do not practice English law. A number of our lawyers may hold practicing certificates in jurisdictions in which Appleby does not have a registered office, for the avoidance of doubt, these lawyers do not practice the laws of those jurisdictions.
Our Dispute Resolution team provides advice and representation with respect to dispute arising in or relating to our offshore jurisdictions including Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Jersey in the areas of trust litigation, commercial litigation, corporate litigation and fund disputes, and on insolvency, regulatory and insurance matters.
In addition, our lawyers are also able to facilitate the provision of legal advice from Appleby lawyers in Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, Mauritius and the Seychelles.
Our lawyers in Hong Kong are conversant in English, Japanese, Cantonese, Putonghua and other Chinese dialects
